Scott Blake checks out a Ford Crown Vic. from the motor pool and heads for Beverly Hills and the home of Helena McCormick. There was something strange about why a person living in Beverly Hills called LA Homicide to state that she shot a man in her house who wore a black coat.

Detective Blade shows up at the scene and leaves Helena's house in Beverly Hills, without her. Detective Steele has him leave the scene but offers to buy him a drink later. They were once lovers. Detective Blade can only wait for Helena's phone call. He returns to the station and begins background research on Paul and Helena McCormick.

The Drug cartel has captured Helena away from Blade and holds her prisoner. Blade and Paul follow a GPS signal from a piece of jewelry that Helena is wearing. They drive out to Fargo Canyon to steal her back from the bad guys. More peril for the three.
